PNE AMPHITHEATRE

When we think about iconic architecture, our eyes naturally go to the roof. But every great performance begins on the floor beneath it.

The new PNE Amphitheatre with mass timber roof, sustainable design, and breathtaking views of Vancouver's North Shore Mountains. Yet beneath every concert, every performance, and every cheering crowd lies another critical element—the floor.

A venue designed for 10,000 people demands more than beautiful architecture. It requires surfaces that can withstand heavy foot traffic, staging equipment, changing audience layouts, and years of continuous use while maintaining safety, durability, and performance.

Karma Coating Solutions was proud to contribute to this landmark project, completing a scope of work of approximately 80,000 sq. ft. This included exterior and interior sealed concrete, polished concrete, integral colour polished concrete, and epoxy flooring systems—each selected to meet the demanding performance requirements of a high-traffic public venue.
The roof may steal the spotlight—but the floor carries the show.
