Coal Mining-Dry Creek Treatment Plant
This approximately 850 sq. ft. industrial flooring project in Sparwood, British Columbia involved the installation of a high-performance chemical-resistant epoxy flooring system for a coal mining treatment facility.
Designed for demanding industrial conditions, the epoxy system provides a seamless, durable, and chemically resistant surface, helping protect the concrete substrate against chemical exposure, moisture, spills, and day-to-day operational wear.
The scope also included an 18-inch-high epoxy cove along the perimeter, creating a continuous transition between the floor and wall surfaces. This extended cove provides additional protection in areas subject to chemical exposure and washdowns while reducing joints and potential points of moisture penetration.
The completed flooring system provides a durable, easy-to-maintain, and long-lasting solution suited to the challenging conditions of mining and treatment plant environments.
